Javier Pescador (HST)

Uses multiple materials, including corridos (traditional ballads), murals, oral histories, archival records, private letters, novels and films to analyze the historical and social conditions from which a particular set of cultural identities have emerged along and beyond the U.S.-Mexican border.

John Kratus (MUS)

Songwriting as a powerful means of personal expression that incorporates aspects of culture, individuality, poetry, and music. Students develop and refine their ability to write and perform their own songs as well as to provide constructive critical commentary on others’ songs.
