Rocio Quispe-Agnoli

Quispe-AgnoliDirector and Associate Professor of (Post) Colonial Latin American Studies in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. Professor Quispe-Agnoli is also affiliated faculty in the American Indian Studies Program and core faculty of the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Women in Development. She earned a M.A. in Sciences du Langage in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Toulouse II, and a A.M. in Hispanic Studies and her Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies at Brown University. Professor Quispe-Agnoli has published La fe indigena en la escritura: resistencia e identidad en la obra de Guaman Poma de Ayala (Lima: Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos Press, 2006). She also edited a special issue of Cuaderno Internacional de Estudios Hispanicos y Linguistica entitled 'Beyond the Convent: Colonial Women's Voices and Daily Challenges in Spanish America' (2006).

Kirk Kidwell

Kirk KidwellAs Assistant Director for the Center for Integrative Studies in Arts and Humanities (CISAH) at Michigan State University, I collaborate with CISAH Director Rocio Quispe-Agnoli to administer the CISAH program and to foster programmatic excellence and efficiency. My responsibilities as Assistant Director include approval of Administration Action and Transfer Equivalency forms, course scheduling for the upcoming academic year, hiring and supervision of TAs and instructors for summer IAH courses, faculty of record and course coordination of CISAH 207, oversight of the selection process for the Somers Excellence in Teaching Award for IAH graduate teaching assistants, management of student web developers and coordination with IAH faculty teaching online and blended IAH courses, and student advising. In addition, I work closely with Director Quispe-Agnoli to implement a consistent set of guidelines for IAH courses in study abroad programs and to coordinate between CISAH, the Office of Study Abroad, and the Office of the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs of the College of Arts and Letters. I am also a member of the CISAH Advisory Committee and serve as secretary for each meeting of the committee.

Deanna Thomas

Thomas DeannaMs. Thomas has been working with CIS-AH since its inception in September 1989. She is CIS-AH Office Supervisor, Administrative Assistant to the Director, and Budget and Personnel Assistant. Among her multiple duties she is also responsible for processing faculty appointment forms, teaching awards, overseeing the Center's multimedia library, special initiatives and projects, and advisory committee procedures.

Sarah Ward

Sarah WardMs. Ward has been working as a secretary with CIS-AH since June 2005. Among her multiple duties, she is responsible for: processing graduate assistant forms and related materials; CLIFMS for IAH instructors and teaching assistants; fixed term appointments and travel vouchers for graduate students teaching off-campus; summer courses and reserve motor pool vehicles, and textbook orders and desk copy requests for IAH courses. She also assists the Center with other duties such as drops, adds, overrides and enrollment procedures; AA forms; credit transfer; guest course approval forms; CIS-AH listserve.

Jan Cornelius

Jan CorneliusMs. Cornelius has been working as a secretary with CIS-AH since December 2000. Among her multiple duties, she is responsible for: scheduling of IAH courses; classroom scheduling; teaching evaluations (SIRS and SOCT) for all IAH courses; course descriptions and foci; study abroad programs that include IAH courses; AA forms, credit transfer forms and guest course approval forms. She also assists the Center with other duties such as student payroll, students drops, adds, overrides and enrollment procedures.

Part-Time Staff

Michellena Belton (Office Assistant)

Michellena BeltonMichellena has worked as a student receptionist with CIS-AH since October 2005. She is pursuing a BA in Advertising and will graduate in December 2008. Michellena performs the necessary clerical duties in the office as well as enjoying the company of the excellent CISAH staff.

David Crandall (Web Designer)

David CrandallHas worked as a Web Designer in CIS-AH since September 2006. He is currently working towards a BA in Professional Writing with a concentration in Digital and Technical Writing. David has been working in web and graphic design for over seven years. He is responsible assisting IAH faculty with the design of teaching modules for hybrid and online courses, the department website & logo designs, website maintenance, continuous transfer / update of website files, as well as the design of a search system, content management system, and multimedia library.

Dhayalan Elangovan (Web Designer)

Dhayalan ElangovanHas worked as a Web Designer in CIS-AH as of November 2008. He has a bachelors degree in Printing Technology. He worked as a Programmer Analyst in Cognizant Technology Solutions - INDIA during the period 2007 - 2008. Now he is a graduate student in school of packaging with interest towards biodegradability and sustainability of packaging materials. He is  also working in MSU printing services as a graphic designer. Dhayalan is responsible for general maintenance and updates of the CIS-AH website.

Caron Creighton (Web Designer)

Caron CreightonHas worked as a Web Designer in CIS-AH since July 2009. She is currently pursuing a degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities with a focus in Arabic, Middle Eastern Culture, and Professional Writing. Caron assists with general maintenance and updates of the CIS-AH website.
